"Lazy, Hazy Days"

Zechariah 8:3-5

Introduction: Does life seem like an insane frenzy of activity? Little time remains for rest, recreation, and reflection. What does God say about it?

1. We say rush , God says rest .

2. The people saw desolation, God saw restoration.

3. We emphasize things, God emphasizes time.

4. We like lists, God says " OK".

          a. Think before signing up.

          b. Forget LeBron James.

          c. Listen selectively to expert advice.

          d. Make family time a priority.

          e. Make a committment to be undercommitted.

Conclusion: If you haven't already, why not use the rest of this summer to embrace the gifts of God and follow that good old childhood admonition of your mother...

" Go outside and play!"
