What's That Noise?

Amos 5: 14-27

Introduction: In the book of Amos, the people of Israel were busy sacrificing to God but He did not accept their worship. What was the problem and how can we avoid the mistakes they made?

1. " Good              " do not equal good worship.

          Amos 5:23-24: Amos 6: 5, 7a; John 14: 15a

The lives we live must be                      with the songs we sing.

                          (Worshiping God equals loving God!)

2. " Good                     " do not equal good worship.

          Amos 5: 21

The                   of God is more important than how we present His word.

3. " Good                       " do not equal good worship.

          Amos 5: 22; 1 Sam 15: 22

God delights more in                       than in sacrifice.

Conclusion:

True worship is about people whose                          is consistent with their church attendance, the songs they sing, and the offerings they give.
